Pay Schedule

At JHMR, pay periods begin on a Sunday and last for two weeks. Each pay period ends on a Saturday. Pay is issued on the following Friday. Find additional details in the JHMR Employee Handbook. The pay schedule for Winter 23-24 is as follows:

Paychecks

Receiving Your Pay

JHMR offers two options for how employees receive pay: Direct Deposit (DD) or Wisely Pay. You may set up DD when you fill out your electronic hire packet, or later via ADP. If you set up DD during a previous season, it will automatically resume when you are rehired as long as your banking info has not changed.

Wisely Pay has replaced the option of paper checks (JHMR no longer offers an option to receive paper paychecks). It works as a prepaid, chipped debit card. You may find a Wisely Pay "cheat sheet" here. Note that if you choose not to enroll in Direct Deposit, you will automatically be enrolled in the Wisely Pay program. Please contact MSS Admin with any questions.

Corrections

Pay Corrections

The Mountain Sports School does not require employees to clock in or out for work. Your hours will be entered electronically each day by your supervisor. Review your pay on ProCard when you sign out electronically (more info on ProCard here).

If you notice an error with your pay, dispute it on ProCard AND let your supervisor know as soon as possible. Please review the process for signing out properly in ProCard HERE as many pay issues originate from instructors not signing out fully and on time.

A pay correction will show in ProCard the morning after it has been updated, and automatically rolls into your next paycheck. If we owe you pay from a previous pay period, you have the right to request a manual deposit for the amount that is past due. Please speak with MSS Admin for manual deposit requests.

Sick Pay

Full time year round and dual seasonal staff are eligible to use sick pay throughout summer. Sick pay accrues continuously and rolls over from one season to the next. It does not expire as long as you remain an active FTYR or DS employee! Please email James to request sick pay.

 

Sick leave is to be used for the following purposes: illness or injury of employee or immediate family member (parent, legal guardian, sibling, spouse, or children), death in the family, and doctor or dental appointments. It is not for any other purpose. Staff must be scheduled to work to use seasonal sick leave. Does not count towards work hours. Violation of this policy is grounds for disciplinary action.
